Our master craftsmen do some of the most beautiful hand-tooled leather in the world. This instantly recognizable art-form goes back generations. Unlike shallow-depth mass-produced tooled hides from overseas, each piece from our Colorado shop reflects depth and beauty that only steady nerves and concentration of the artist can deliver. Your case will deserve every ounce of admiration it is sure to achieve.
We start with the finest vegetable tanned leather from US tanneries. The artist selects each piece for it's texture and grain, and slowly begins the process of designing and hand-tooling a pattern to fit your case.
In the larger photo above right is a case for a Nikon D300 that has been hand-tooled in an oak-leaf pattern by David Acton of Estes Park. The black tooled holster set in the smaller photo is for a customer's Canon 5D Mark II. In addition to the Newspaper Rock medallion (see limited editions), this handsome set included the tooled case, lid, 2" field belt, two accessory pouches and the filter wallet.
